According to a digital technology adoption capability ranking by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Japan ranked 32nd out of 64 surveyed economies, dropping three places from last year and reaching its lowest position since 2017.
Despite these challenges, many Japanese companies have successfully adopted digital technologies to improve production processes and services. Companies like Toyota, Hitachi, and Rakuten are prime examples of this success. They showcased the significant potential digital transformation can bring to Japan’s economy.
Exciting Changes at Japan’s Largest IT Exhibition This Year
Japan IT Week is not only a hub for the latest IT products and solutions; but also a major B2B exhibition. Unlike typical promotional events, this exhibition allows visitors to negotiate and establish business partnerships on the spot.
With an estimated 50,000 participants, it provides a unique opportunity for suppliers to reach potential customers who are difficult to access through regular sales activities. The Information Security Expo and the IoT & Edge Computing Expo will showcase security solutions against cyberattacks and data leaks; such as Zero Trust Security, Generative AI-enabled Security, and IoT technologies that support safe and system integration across various industries.
At Japan Digital Transformation Week, the AI & Business Automation Expo will present robotic and AI process automation solutions. The Deskless Work DX Expo will display technologies aimed at digitalizing workplaces and improving job satisfaction for non-desk workers.
The Digital Marketing Expo and Advanced E-commerce Expo promise to introduce innovative trends and technologies in digital marketing and e-commerce. These segments will focus on applying data analytics and AI for comprehensive digital transformation.
